Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This comes less than 24 hours after Senate President Bukola Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed, governor of Kwara state, left the APC for PDP.
Bolaji Abdullahi, spokesman of the ruling party, has also resigned from the APC.
Presently at the state’s government house, preparations are on top gear as the governor is playing host to top Peoples Democratic Party, PDP leaders including a former governor Attahiru Bafarawa who had been discharged by the court from the fraud allegations hanging on his neck years ago.
A source close to the government house told our correspondent that after the governor’s consultations, he would hold a rally to that effect.
