ABEOKUTA, NIGERIA — All public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges in Ogun State, resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Okay News reports that the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology disclosed the resumption schedule in a statement issued on April 22, 2026, signed by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.
The ministry said the resumption aligns with the approved Ogun State academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. Schools in the state had previously paused operations following the conclusion of second term academic activities.
Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu urged parents and guardians to ensure their children return to the classroom immediately. The statement said, “Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay.”
The third term represents the final phase of the 2025/2026 academic session in Ogun State. During this period, educational institutions typically complete the required syllabuses and conduct promotion and external examinations.
