Tinubu Begs Youths to Shelve Planned Protests, Promises Swift Action

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appealed to Nigerian youths to cancel their planned protests against his administration’s policies, assuring them that he has heard their concerns and is working diligently to address them.

Speaking to State House reporters after a meeting with the President, Information Minister Mohammed Idris stated that Tinubu has asked him to convey a message to the youths, urging them to give his administration more time to implement its policies.

The Minister highlighted the swift passage of the National Minimum Wage bill by the National Assembly as evidence of the President’s commitment to addressing the nation’s challenges. He also mentioned the government’s approval of grains and rice for state governments as part of efforts to cushion the effects of hardship on Nigerians.

Tinubu’s appeal comes as various groups have been planning protests against his administration’s policies, citing concerns over the economy, education, and other issues.
