Transcorp Hotels Plc Set to Hold 9th Annual General Meeting

Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transcorp Group, has announced that it will hold its 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 3, 2023, at its flagship hotel, Transcorp Hilton Abuja.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the company.

The AGM will be an opportunity for shareholders, investors, and industry experts to engage with the management team of Transcorp Hotels Plc and discuss the company’s performance over the past year, as well as its future growth prospects.

The company’s full-year 2022 results, which were recently released on the Nigeria Exchange Group (NGX), showed impressive growth in both profit and revenue.

According to the results, Transcorp Hotels recorded a 172 per cent growth in profit before tax, jumping from N1.7 billion in 2021 to N4.5 billion in 2022.

The company also reported a revenue of N31.4 billion, representing a 47 percent increase from the N21.4 billion it recorded in 2021.

In the statement, the Board of Directors of Transcorp Hotels Plc also announced that it has approved the sum of N1.33 billion to be paid as dividend, subject to shareholders’ declaration at the AGM.

The company will also seek the shareholders’ approval on other matters listed as resolutions on its notice of AGM.

In addition to the physical attendance of shareholders and stakeholders at the AGM, the company has announced that the event will be streamed live on its official YouTube channel, Transcorp Hotels Plc.

This move is aimed at increasing accessibility and transparency, allowing a wider audience to participate in the event remotely.
