We are planning joint operations toward tackling insecurity –Defence chief

The Chief of Defence staff, General Lucky Irabor has urged personnel of the Armed forces to identify more lapses in joint operations and enhance the planning and conduct of joint operations across the country and increase a safer society.

He stated this in a message in Abuja at the closing of the joint stimulation exercise for operation Whirl Punch that took place in five days.

Represented by the Director of operations, defense headquarters, Rear Admiral Dahiru Amos, the Chief of Defence staff emphasised that the exercise had strengthen the efforts at identifying the gaps hindering the attainment of effective joint operations across the country.

He said the joint stimulation exercise had enabled other opportunities for enhanced competencies at testing, conducting and evaluating the effectiveness of the armed forces combat readiness and operations.

General Irabor also emphasised that the exercise has shown the relevance of synergy in joint planning and execution of combat mission in the contemporary security environment.
