We Have Disrupted and Dismantled Criminal Networks – Tinubu

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

President Bola Tinubu has announced that the efforts of the security forces in the fight against insecurity in the North-West have yielded significant results, disrupting and dismantling criminal networks. Speaking at the North-West Peace and Security Summit in Katsina, the President assured Nigerians that this progress is just the beginning, and the government is working tirelessly to provide a better-secured environment for all citizens.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu acknowledged the successes of operations like Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Safe Haven in targeting and neutralizing high-profile figures of criminal groups. He emphasized that the issue of insecurity in the North-West is a national concern, affecting the entire country, and not a sectional agenda.

The President highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen collaborations among security agencies, adhering to guidelines like standard operating procedures and rules of engagement. He also mentioned joint training exercises, inter-agency cooperation, and information sharing among security agencies.

The security summit was attended by dignitaries, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Sultan of Sokoto, Governor Umar Radda, and other North-West governors.
