Youths Arrest Armed Fulani Herdsmen In Delta

By Farouk Mohammed

Youths from Okpe town in Delta State on Wednesday disarmed some Fulani herdsmen who allegedly invaded the town.

The herdsmen numbering over eight were arrested with several dangerous weapons, including guns.

Urhobo ethnic group in Delta State had earlier raised an alarm over activities of Fulani herdsmen in some communities within Urhoboland, saying the development is already creating fears of attacks among the locals.

The group also condemned the proposal for the creation of cattle colonies for Fulani herdsmen, insisting that the proposal is unconstitutional, strange and repressive.
