Blessing Oborududu and Odunayo Adekuoroye on Thursday failed to redeem the pride  of the Nigerian Wrestling team at the Olympic games after losing in the round of 16 in their respective events.

Oborodudu fell 3-1 to Mongolia’s first female gold medallist of the World Wrestling Championships Battsetseg Soronzonbold in the 63kg event, while Adekuoroye, 22, lost to Sofia Mattsson of Sweden.
