Troops Arrest 12 Boko Haram Members

The Nigerian Army on Friday said troops on Operation Lafiya Dole arrested 12 fleeing suspected Boko Haram members in Borno State.

A statement from Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman said all the arrested suspects have been handed over to Joint Investigation Committee for further action.

He said some of the suspected insurgents were arrested at cattle market and others at check points.

Usman said 18 cows recovered from them have been handed over to the Cattle Market Committee for screening and identification and subsequent hand over to their rightful owners.

He gave the names of those arrested as: Abur Modu Magaji, Ibrahim Chari, Bulama Magaji, Nde Ngude, Mustafa Fannami, Abubakakar Modu, Mohammed Merai and Abur Mustafa.

Others are Bakura Agwala, Jatau Yaga, Umar Modu, Abacha Umar and Umar Babagana.
