The entrepreneur and designer took to her social media to announce her new label, Tiannah’s Empire Records.
According to the fashion designer, she previously invested in some artistes whose names she is keeping away from the media, but these people took advantage of her big heart and cut her off when they became successful.
“I always preferred being a silent investor. But over the years I realized If I keep hiding behind other peoples mask, the world would never know what I’m capable of, ” she says.
Adding, “But that era is gone. This is a new era. I’ll rather use my ideas for myself than to keep letting people take my ideas on agreement and later corner you off when real money starts coming in.”
Now, Toyin Lawani is ready to launch the new record label in her upcoming TV series set to debut on Ebony Life TV. For starters, she has signed two artistes, the upcoming singers Seal Magic Kamson, and Evans .
While we wait for these new artistes to spring to the spotlight, read her full note:
“We all have Dreams. It might take time to actualize, but we need to keep pushing everyday and never give up, cause one day it might just come through, but it won’t happen without hardwork.
I have invested in a lot of stars career over the years. But I always preferred being a silent investor. But over the years I realized If I keep hiding behind other peoples mask, the world would never know what I’m capable of.
I felt i have to show the world I’m responsible for a lot of various success in Nigeria. But that era is gone. This is a new era. I’ll rather use my ideas for myself than to keep letting people take my ideas on agreement and later corner you off when real money starts coming in.
Anyways I ain’t scared no more, cause I rule my own world and I make my own Rules now. I won’t let anyone talk me down Anymore. This era is about pleasing only me and me only. So I’m taking the bull by it’s horn and I’m never looking back k
