The suspension order is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin, made available journalists by the state Chairman of the party, Akogun Iyiola-Oyedepo and Secretary, Barrister Yusuf.

It gave the names of the suspended members as Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Kunle Suleiman, Alhaji Hassan Stands-Zorro, Capt. Isiaka Also (rtd), Alhaji Illyasu Ibrahim and Jide Usman-Alabi.

The statement said the members, who were presently standing trial before a Magistrate Court in Ilorin, were suspended for unruly conduct.

The statement read; “the six of them masterminded the unlawful and wilful breaking into the PDP Secretariat on Monday, 31st day of October. 2016.

“They were accordingly reported to the police at the Kwara State Police Command, Ilorin.

“The police accordingly charged the six of them to the magistrate court on 17th November 2016.

“When they finish with their matter in court, they may be reconsidered for re-admission into the party, if exonerated by the court of law.”

According to the statement, the matter had also been reported to the National Secretariat of the party.

It advised the suspended members and and their followers to keep away from the party secretariat in their own interest.

NAN reports that the six suspended PDP chieftains were arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday Nov. 17, on a two-count charge of illegal containment and forceful entry.
