Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has no plans to speak with Diego Costa about his absence and wants the striker to prove in training that he is ready to return to the side, according to the UK Guardian.

Costa was left out of the squad that played champions Leicester City last Saturday , after a bust-up with Conte in training during the week.

The 28-year-old insisted he was feeling pains in his lower back and was involved in arguments with Chelsea fitness staff, who felt he was fit enough.

This came amid reports that Chinese Super League side, Tianjin Quanjian, is ready to pay Costa £30m a year to join them.

Costa was pictured training alone at Cobham on Monday, while the rest of the first team and management staff enjoyed 48 hours off, following their 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The Spain international’s deal expires in 2019, but there is an increasing likelihood he will leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
