Kerosene Explosion Kills Pregnant Woman, Son in Enugu

SAD News from Enugu as Kerosene Explosion kills a Mother and her son.

A kerosene explosion has killed a pregnant woman and her four-year old son in Enugu.

The incident, which according to a release by Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebere Amaraizu occurred on Monday at Ngenevu axis of the coal camp Enugu, left some others with various degrees of severe burns.

The PPRO said on that fateful day, one HIillary Ugwuoke, also from Ngenevu, had allegedly bought kerosene from a neighbour in the evening which he later poured into his lantern.

It was while he was attempting to light the lantern, the kerosene exploded and on the process the said Hillary, his pregnant wife and his children were burnt by the inferno.

Sympathisers reportedly assisted in rushing them to National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu for medical assistance.
