Xavi is a big fan of Ronaldo but he say’s the Portuguese has a problem: the existence of Lionel Messi.
Xavi hints Ronaldo would be recognised as the world’s best player if it wasn’t for his Barcelona rival.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a born scorer, a spectacular footballer,” he told A Bola TV .
“The problem is that there is Messi, who for me is the best player in history.
“That is the only problem that Cristiano Ronaldo has, but he is a player who scores and continues to mark an era.”
The La Liga stars are tied on four Ballon d’Ors apiece as they search for supremacy in Spain.
And the pair will have split most of the scoring records for Spain’s top flight and the Champions League by the time they both hang up their boots.
As for who’s the better player, the difference in mostly subjective.
