The Nigerian male basketball team, D’Tigers, finished the group stages of the 2017 FIBA Afrobasket championship top of the log despite their 83-77 loss to DR Congo.

This is according to the official table released by the FIBA (Africa) secretary-general, Alphonse Bile.

The D’Tigers qualified based on their superior points difference as they, alongside DR Congo and Mali, won two games and lost one.

They are expected to depart for Rades as they continue the defence of the title they won two years ago in Tunisia.
