PSV has completed the signing of versatile defender Viergever, 28, on a free transfer from their rivals Ajax Viergever joined the Amsterdam giants from AZ Alkmaar in 2014 and made 296 appearances but failed to win a trophy.
He netted a vital goal against Schalke in last season’s Europa League quarter-final second leg, which helped the Ajax reach the final against Manchester United.
