Arsenal are considering selling striker, Danny Welbeck during the January transfer window, despite Unai Emery desire to retain him in his squad.

The 27-year-old current deal expires in the summer of 2019, when he will be available on a free transfer and the club board do not want to miss out on a transfer fee and will listen to any offers in January.

Crystal Palace would be prepared to pay £10m to sign Welbeck, even though his contract is expiring, which still marks a £6m loss compared to the fee Arsenal paid back in 2014.

Welbeck has made 13 appearances under Emery in all competitions this season.
