Leicester City has officially appointed Brendan Rodgers as their new manager.

Rodgers will replace Claude Puel who was sacked by Leicester City on Sunday, after the Foxes were thrash 4-1 home by Crystal Palace.

Leicester City are currently occupying the twelfth position in the league.

Speaking about the move, Rodgers said: “I’m very privileged and honoured to be here as Leicester City manager and I’ll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club.

“Together, we’ll be stronger and I’m looking forward to working with the players, staff and supporters to make the right steps forward.”

The former Liverpool and Celtic manager signed a deal with the Foxes until June 2022 and will earn £60,000-a-week.
