Patience Jonathan files appeal against permanent forfeiture of N9.2bn, $8.4m

Patience Jonathan has filed an appeal challenging the permanent forfeiture of N9.2bn, $8.4m linked to her.

Okay.ng gathered that the former first lady prayed that the Court of Appeal in Lagos to set aside the judgment of Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), her counsel, said the judge erred in law by ordering the final forfeiture when she had no jurisdiction to do so.
