Buhari appoints former CBN deputy governor as special adviser

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Sarah Omotunde Alade as Special Adviser on Finance and the Economy.

Garba Shehu, a spokesman to the president, disclosed this in a statement to Okay.ng on Tuesday.

Alade, who holds BSc (Economics) and Ph.D. in Management Science (Operations Research), was a former deputy governor for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

She retired from CBN in 2017 after spending 23 years.

Also, Alade had in 2014 briefly acted as the CBN Governor during the suspension of Lamido Sanusi until his tenure ended.
