The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, has dumped his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, for the All Progressives Congress, the Eagleonline reports.

Before his defection, Ibeto contested the PDP governorship ticket in the state, but lost because his boss, Governor Babangida Aliyu, did not back his candidacy.

Ahmed Nasko is currently the party’s governorship candidate in the state.
