Six people were killed today in Potiskum, Yobe State after a suicide bomber attacked the residence of a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) politician.
The attack occurred on Sunday afternoon. Sabo Garbu, PDP candidate for the Potiskum/Nangere federal constituency in Yobe, was the target, Channels TV reports.
Eyewitnesses say the bomber arrived at Garbu’s residence and subsequently detonated the explosive device.
Several party supporters were present at the time of the bombing. Six of them were killed immediately, while others sustained injuries.
Although authorities are yet to confirm the incident, hospital personnel stated that six corpses were brought to the hospital, along with several injured persons
