Suge Knight has been charged with murder and attempted murder in the death of his friend.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office officially filed the charges in connection with the death of Terry Carter, who was killed Thursday after Knight ran him over in Compton. The rap mogul also ran over an adversary, Cle “Bone” Sloan, while on set of a film project.

Knight is also charged with two counts of hit-and-run “with an allegation that he committed a serious and violent felony while out on bail in another pending case.”

His $2 million bail has been revoked because the commissioner decided he’s a flight risk and might intimidate witnesses. If convicted, Knight faces up to life in prison.

He will be arraigned Tuesday in Compton at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Witnesses claim Knight threw his car in reverse twice and intended to hit one of the people with whom he was fighting. Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, says he accidentally ran over the men as he tried to escape a vicious attack.

“We feel strongly that Mr. Knight did not do anything wrong in this matter,” said Blatt. “He was attacked by a number of individuals. … He left the scene because he was in fear for his safety and life.”

According to TMZ, deputies have obtained video of the incident, which allegedly shows “a portion” of what went down and will strengthen the case against Knight.
