Popular Lagos businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD has been arrested.

Okay.ng understands that IVD was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command following the death of his wife, Abimbola.

This was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet on Monday.

According to the Lagos PPRO, the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba.

“Contrary to claims by family and friends that 37-year-old Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD is on the run, he has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba,” he said.

Abimbola, the wife of IVD, was confirmed dead after suffering from severe burns during a domestic violence incident at their home in Megamound estate, Lekki, Lagos State.

The cause of the incident is yet to be made public but it was alleged that the Abimbola had set the house on fire during their fight.
