Akpabio Announces Principal Officers for 10th Senate

Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed the names of four principal officers for the majority party in the 10th Senate.

The selection process, according to Akpabio, was marked by consensus, ensuring a unified approach to leadership within the Senate.

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Ekiti Central, was appointed as the Senate Majority Leader.

Joining Bamidele in the leadership ranks are Senator David Umahi, who represents Ebonyi South, assuming the role of Deputy Majority Leader.

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, renowned as the former Majority Leader in the 8th Senate, was appointed as the Senate Majority Whip.

Completing the quartet of principal officers is Senator Lola Ashiru, representing Kwara South, who was named the Deputy Majority Whip.

The announcement of these principal officers signifies the beginning of a new era in the 10th Senate.
