President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assured Nigerian citizens that the recent 50% reduction in inter-state land transportation fares and the settlement of N-Power beneficiaries’ backlog of allowances were measures aimed at easing the festive season’s burden.

The President, currently on a brief Christmas holiday in Lagos, made these remarks while observing Jumaat prayers at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to citizens’ welfare, highlighting ongoing economic reforms designed to establish a robust and secure foundation for both current and future generations of Nigerians.

Addressing fellow worshippers, President Tinubu emphasized the administration’s dedication to fostering a better society, transcending ethnic, religious, or geographical differences.

He underscored that existing policies aimed to provide substantial relief to citizens, acknowledging their struggles and the government’s holistic approach in addressing them.

Tinubu praised the centennial anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, commending their humanitarian services, propagation of Islam’s tenets, and efforts to uplift the disadvantaged.

He urged continued commitment to advancing education and fostering moral and social development within the Muslim Ummah.

Expressing gratitude for the society’s support during elections, Tinubu emphasized that such backing motivates the government to remain steadfast in delivering good governance to the people. He recognized the society’s century-long journey as a testament to the achievements possible through focused planning within a society.
