However, the journey doesn’t end there. Post-camp activities are crucial for a successful service year. Here’s a guide to help corp members navigate the steps after leaving the orientation camp.

Post-Camp Checklist

After the camp, there are several steps that corp members need to take:

  • Relocation: If you applied for relocation during the camp, check your dashboard for approval and pay the necessary fees to print your relocation letter.
  • Documentation: Submit the required documents at your new state’s NYSC Secretariat.
  • PPA Assignment: Await your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) letter on your dashboard.

Answers to FAQS

What documents do I need to submit after relocation?

You will need to submit the following documents:

  • Original copy of the relocation approval letter
  • Photocopy of the relocation approval letter with bank details and phone number
  • Photocopy of your statement of result or certificate
  • Green card

How do I get my state code and PPA letter?

After submitting your documents and receiving approval, your state code will change to reflect your new state. Your PPA letter will then appear on your dashboard1.

What should I do upon arriving at my PPA?

Upon arrival at your PPA, you should:

  • Meet with the Local Government Inspector (LGI): They will provide a welcome address and brief you on the next steps.
  • Engage with serving corps members: They can offer guidance and support as you settle in.
  • Communicate with your employer: Establish a good relationship to confirm your acceptance at the PPA.

What if my PPA rejects me?

If your PPA rejects you, report to the LGI. They will assist in resolving the issue and finding an alternative placement.

Is accommodation provided?

Employers are expected to provide accommodation for corp members. Ensure you discuss this with your employer before acceptance.
