FG Unveils Portal for Student Loan Applications

The Federal Government, throught the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), has announced the opening of its portal for student loan applications, effective May 24.

The Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, revealed this in a statement released on Thursday in Abuja, as conveyed by the Fund’s Media and Public Relations Lead, Nasir Ayitogo.

Sawyerr emphasized that the launch of the portal signifies a significant milestone in President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to promoting accessible and inclusive education for all Nigerian students.

Through this initiative, students can now access financial assistance to pursue their academic aspirations without facing financial constraints.

The Managing Director highlighted that the portal offers a user-friendly interface, ensuring that students can conveniently submit their loan applications.

He urged all eligible students to seize this opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the growth and development of the nation.

“We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the growth and development of our nation,” Sawyerr stated.

Students interested in applying for the loan can access the portal at www.nelf.gov.ng to begin their application process.
