The Government of Equatorial Guinea has implemented a series of measures aimed at upholding respect and ethical behavior within the workplace.

This action follows the circulation of sexually explicit videos on social media involving Baltasar Ebang Engonga, former Director General of the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF).

Engonga, popularly known as “Bello,” has been at the center of controversy since last October after videos surfaced showing him engaged in sexual activities with multiple women, some of whom are reported to be married.

Disturbingly, some of these encounters reportedly took place in his official work office, with the National Flag visible in the background.

According to reports, the recordings were made with the apparent knowledge of his colleagues, further intensifying the public’s reaction.

The Executive of Equatorial Guinea has expressed that this scandal has tarnished the country’s image, prompting the introduction of stringent reforms to prevent similar incidents in the future.

In a statement, government officials emphasized that the new policies are intended to serve as a clear warning to public officials regarding expected conduct, with a focus on fostering a professional and ethical environment within both public and private sectors.
