Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, alongside Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Saturday showered praise on President Bola Tinubu for his two years of purposeful governance, describing his tenure as transformative for Nigeria.

Speaking at the chieftaincy ceremony in Ado Ekiti, where Prince Tajudeen Olusi was conferred the Atobatele title by the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, the leaders urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu’s administration for sustained national progress.

Bamidele, representing the President, called Prince Olusi a “true democrat” whose dedication to good governance has left a lasting mark. He said, “This is not only an honour to Prince Olusi, it is also an honour to Lagos State and Yoruba land. As far as we are concerned, this is also a lesson for all of us that we should do only those things that will promote the unity of Nigeria.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted Tinubu’s achievements, noting improvements in inflation, debt repayment, currency stability, and security, especially in the Niger Delta. “If you have something good and working for you, why do you need to change it?” he asked, endorsing Tinubu for another term.

Echoing these sentiments, Governor Oyebanji praised Prince Olusi’s integrity and leadership, calling him “a model of humility” and a mentor to many. The Ewi of Ado Ekiti emphasized the cultural significance of the chieftaincy title, linking tradition with modern governance.

Prince Olusi expressed gratitude, describing the honour as a “significant milestone” that reinforces his commitment to unity and leadership in Yoruba land and Nigeria.
