The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a reminder to all shortlisted candidates ahead of the 2025 online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for its ongoing recruitment exercise, urging strict compliance with examination guidelines to avoid disqualification.

In a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle late Wednesday night, the board advised candidates to ensure their devices display the accurate date and time before attempting to log in to the examination portal.

“Please ensure your device displays the accurate date and time before accessing the online CBT portal to login. Remember to follow all the instructions carefully to avoid disqualification,” the statement read.

The reminder comes as thousands of applicants prepare to sit for the online recruitment exam, which forms part of the selection process for positions within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) — all overseen by the CDCFIB.

Okay News reports that the CBT phase is designed to ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process. The system is AI-proctored, enabling real-time monitoring to detect malpractice, third-party interference, and any form of device manipulation during the exam.

The CDCFIB has previously emphasized that only officially scheduled candidates will be granted access to the test portal, warning that failure to adhere to technical or procedural instructions could lead to automatic disqualification.

Candidates are expected to log in through the official recruitment portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — at their scheduled exam time, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the test begins.
