The National Youth Service Corps, the mandatory national service programme established by the Federal Government of Nigeria for graduates under the age of thirty, has officially disclosed the full deployment schedule for the 2025 Batch C prospective corps members. The announcement was made on Monday through the organisation’s verified page on the social media platform X, where it confirmed that call-up letters have been released for immediate access. Okay News reports.
In the notice, the National Youth Service Corps informed the public that several prospective corps members originally posted to Lagos State, which is Nigeria’s largest commercial hub, as well as those assigned to the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, have been redirected to complete their three-week orientation course in neighbouring states. This adjustment, the organisation explained, is part of a broader effort to manage limited camp spaces across the country.
According to an official statement, “some prospective corps members deployed to Lagos have their orientation course in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun and Osun camps,” adding that “some deployed to Federal Capital Territory will be in Kaduna, Niger and Nasarawa camps.” These states are all within reasonable travel distance of Lagos and Abuja, ensuring the continuity of service mobilisation despite capacity challenges.
This new development follows a recent update released earlier in the month, where the National Youth Service Corps explained that the size limitations of orientation camps across all thirty six states and the Federal Capital Territory have made it impossible to host the full population of registered graduates at once. At the time, the scheme emphasised that “only about 40 per cent of registered Prospective Corps Members can be accommodated for the upcoming orientation programme.”
In addition to deployment details, the scheme issued a general travel safety notice to all participants. It cautioned that, “Prospective corps members are advised not to travel at night to the orientation camp,” encouraging participants to prioritise personal security while travelling across Nigeria’s major road networks.
The National Youth Service Corps also reiterated the need for all prospective corps members to print, complete and sign all required documentation before heading to camp. These documents, it stressed, must be submitted at the point of registration upon arrival at the orientation grounds.
In a related update from the previous week, the organisation disclosed that call-up numbers for the 2025 Batch C stream had already been released, a step that signalled the beginning of the operational phase of mobilisation. The online registration portal for this batch opened on the fourth of November and ran until the ninth of November for graduates trained either within Nigeria or in institutions abroad.
The National Youth Service Corps earlier published the mobilisation timetable which detailed the pre-camp physical verification process for foreign-trained graduates, scheduled from the ninth to the thirteenth of November. It also included the period allocated for information and communication technology processing, which ran from the twelfth to the fifteenth of November.
Finally, the scheme confirmed that educational institutions responsible for producing corps members are expected to assist in both the online printing and physical distribution of call-up and deployment letters between the sixteenth and eighteenth of November. During this period, prospective corps members are required to print their letters in preparation for immediate mobilisation.
