British comedian and actor Russell Brand has been charged with additional counts of rape and sexual assault involving two more women, UK police have confirmed.
The new charges add to those filed against him in April, which related to allegations from four women. Brand has pleaded not guilty to the earlier charges.
The Metropolitan Police said Brand is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 20 January 2026 in connection with the fresh allegations. His trial over the original five charges is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June 2026.
Detectives say investigations are ongoing and have appealed for anyone with relevant information to come forward. Police added that complainants continue to receive specialist support as the legal process moves forward.
