Deputy Senate President and Senator representing Kano North, Barau Jibrin, has announced that his foundation, the Barau I. Jibrin Foundation (BIJF), is sponsoring 20 students at Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State, as part of efforts to expand access to quality education and develop young talents.
The students were formally presented to the university management by a BIJF delegation led by Dr Abdulrazak Usman, and received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya.
Senator Jibrin said he was encouraged by the Vice-Chancellor’s commendation of the foundation’s contributions to educational development and youth empowerment across Kano State.
The Deputy Senate President, in a statement on Saturday, obtained by Okay News, thanked the university for accepting the responsibility of training the beneficiaries and called on other leaders and wealthy individuals to invest in similar initiatives.
He reaffirmed BIJF’s commitment to education and human capital development, describing education as a vital tool for transforming lives and building a prosperous society.
