In response to the recent bomb blast that claimed 35 lives in Jimeta, Yola, the Adamawa Government on Wednesday declared a ban on all public viewing centers in the state.

The state police spokesperson, Othman Abubakar, in a statement revealed that the ban was immediate and would last for at least an initial period of a month.

He said the measure was due to the “unfortunate recent bomb blast in Yola,” adding that the directive was issued by Governor Muhammadu Jibrillah.

Mr. Abubakar warned against flouting the order, and advised members of the public to avoid crowded places and report suspicious persons to security agents.
