Police Defuse Bomb Planted at Crowded Borno Market

The Nigerian police has announced that a bomb was yesterday defused at a market in Maiduguri, Borno state.

The improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered at Baga Market Maiduguri by Police Bomb Disposal unit around 4:20 pm.

The IED was safely detonated by the Police Bomb experts, no casualty recorded.

Baga market is a popular market in Maiduguri and has been the target of several attacks by the Boko Haram sect.
