On Friday morning, rapper Beanie Sigel was shot in the abdomen. According to NBC Philadelphia, a fight broke out in front of his home in Pleasantville, while the rhyme spitter was returning home from taking his kids to school, and he was struck by a bullet.
The PD discovered two cars in connection to the shooting. In the one they managed to apprehend the individual sitting in the passenger seat, while the driver escaped. The arrested suspect was immediately taken into custody for questioning.
Sigel’s brother-in-law, Umar Salahuddin was also injured but not shot. He was taken into questioning as well, but hasn’t cooperated with investigators. A close relative to Sigel’s wife spoke to reporters about the shooting, explaining that Beanie is out of surgery, but is in serious condition.
The whole thing is a tragedy,” she said. “It’s just very sad and I just ask that everybody keep our family in prayer and that he pulls through.”
