Oliseh

Owing to his outburst of Sunday, Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has reportedly sent a letter of apology to the Nigeria Football Federation.

Oliseh had recorded a video from his base in Belgium, where he blasted the critics of the senior national team as well as officials of the NFF.

Following Nigeria’s failure to reach the knockout stage of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda, Oliseh had been roundly criticised while many called for his sack.

But the Super Eagles gaffer replied with a scathing outburst- describing his critics as ‘insane’ and the clamour for his removal as ‘madness’.

However, hours after his remarks, the africanFootball.com reported that Oliseh has sent a letter of apology to the NFF over his behaviour.

The football website quoted a source to have said: “He said he is sorry, that he never wanted to attack the NFF or embarrass the federation, but rather he wanted the whole world to know they have not been given money. He also said he has been very frustrated after the heavy attack on him and his team after the CHAN exit.”
