The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Oyegun has revealed yesterday that he is under intense pressure ahead of the Edo State governorship primary election,DailyPost reports.

Oyegun’s comment is ascribed to the directives by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, asking political parties to conduct their primaries between July 2 and July 4.

He said, “I am under intense pressure. Apart from the national working committee, various stakeholders in the state to do one thing or the other to salvage the situation.

“But doing one thing or the other will almost certainly be interpreted from different groups to mean that I am for A or for B and it is something I had to avoid at all cost because at the end of the day, I am the referee of the match that is going to happen.’ Oyegun explained.
