Civil servants in Ondo State have decided to embark on an indefinite strike on Wednesday following the inability of the state government to pay their salaries for five months.

The leadership of the organised labour in the state are currently holding an emergency meeting over the plan.

Meanwhile, workers in the state have been directed to stay at home and hospitals are to be shut down.

It is not yet clear what would be the fate of pupils, who are taking the Senior School Certificate’s Examination.
