Toby Grey, born Adeyemi Tobiloba Maryam, in Ogun State in 1994, is a Nigerian singer, song writer and performing artiste. Her talent for music was discovered at the age of 16 and a year later in 2011 with heavy influence from Nneka, Asa, Leona Lewis, Ciara, she recorded her first track and has since gone on to record several more with performances at various showcases and events such as the City People Entertainment Awards, Kennis Music Easter Fiesta and More.

Tell Us More About Your Family and Educational Background?
– I’ve got two sisters, I am the first child. My dad is a sales man while
my mum is a journalist. I attended the University of Lagos and bagged my
Bachelor of Arts in French Language. I am from Osun State (ikire precisely).
Where Did You Coin The Name ‘Grey’ From?
– I Picked the color cos it sounded cool, then I gave it a meaning. “Grey
is an intermediate color between black and white..black for me signifies
local or African while white signifies international or foreign…this
means that my music serves as a balance between the two and cuts across
borders “

– late 2011
