Atiku receives phone call from US Secretary of state ahead of elections

Atiku Abubakar, PDP presidential candidate, has on Friday received a phone call from Michael Pompeo, United States’ secretary of state, to declare the international community’s commitment to free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.

Atiku disclosed this on his official Twitter handle on Friday afternoon.

He said, “Earlier today I received a call from US Secretary of State, @SecPompeo, who reaffirmed the international community’s commitment to free and fair elections in Nigeria.”

He also added that he was, “Wishing you all a peaceful elections, wherever you are. God bless Nigeria.”
