ABUJA, Nigeria – Big Brother Naija All Stars winner Ilebaye has reportedly been rescued following a public distress call regarding a physical assault allegedly carried out by her father.
Okay News reports that the reality television star went live on Instagram, broadcasting chaotic footage where a man could be seen aggressively hitting her. In the background of the video, teenage boys were heard pleading for the violence to stop.
According to accounts close to the situation, the incident occurred when Ilebaye visited the family home around her birthday to check on her younger brothers. Her mother had reportedly fled the marriage years prior due to domestic abuse, leaving the boys in their father’s custody. Fellow influencers, including Tacha and Beauty Tukura, quickly raised the alarm online, urging residents and authorities in the capital to intervene.
Witnesses claimed that police officers who arrived at the residence were initially blocked from entering by guard dogs before the reality star was eventually brought to safety. Fellow BBNaija alumni Venita Akpofure publicly condemned the incident, highlighting the severe and lasting psychological trauma that parental violence inflicts on children.
