Bobrisky Expresses Suicidal Thoughts Amid ₦15 Million EFCC Bribery Allegations

By Damilola A.

Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has shared a disturbing reflection on suicide following allegations of a ₦15 million bribery attempt linked to his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

These allegations surfaced after Martins Vincent Otse, a well-known activist and social media influencer also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio clip allegedly involving Bobrisky offering ₦15 million to EFCC operatives to drop money laundering charges against him and avoid jail time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.

Bobrisky, however, denied the content of the audio, calling it fake. Despite the denial, the controversy has taken a toll on the social media star, prompting him to speak about his emotional state in a recent Facebook post.

“I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s coming to my head,” Bobrisky wrote, expressing dismay at how people were allegedly trying to bring him down. He added, “I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters you won.”
