Cardi B Confirms Separation from Offset After Six Years of Marriage

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

In a recent Instagram live session, American rapper Cardi B confirmed her separation from Offset, her husband of six years.

Speculations about their divorce surfaced last week when Cardi B unfollowed Offset on Instagram and posted cryptic messages about outgrowing relationships.

The rumours gained momentum with claims from rapper Blueface, alleging an affair between Offset and Chrisean Rock, his baby mama.

Offset refuted the allegations on X, stating, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk man you need some help!”

During the Instagram live, Cardi B revealed that they have been “single for a minute now.” She expressed reluctance in making the announcement public but hinted at the separation through her music and social media activity.

“When it comes to events and stuff, I do not think it is true, I do not care to find out because I have been single for a minute now,” she shared.

“But I have been afraid…not afraid, I just do not know how to tell the world. The last time I went on live, I kinda wanted to tell you guys, but I did not know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now.”

Cardi B and Offset got married in a private ceremony in 2017. They welcomed their first child, Kulture, in 2018, and their second child, Wave, in 2021.

Their relationship faced a publicized strain in 2020 when Cardi B filed for divorce, citing allegations of infidelity. Despite their reconciliation, recent events indicate renewed challenges in their marriage.

In June, Offset accused Cardi B of infidelity, claiming she had engaged in relations with another man.

Responding to these allegations, Cardi B urged Offset to cease “acting stupid” and asserted her commitment to maintaining privacy amid public scrutiny.
