JOS, NIGERIA – Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has come under criticism after advising Christians to leave Jos following the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Okay News reports.
Reacting to the tragic incident, the actor took to Instagram to urge Christians in the state to relocate for their safety, warning against the risk of further attacks.
However, his comment quickly sparked mixed reactions, with many arguing that leaving one’s home is neither practical nor fair to victims.
Media personality Daddy Freeze also faulted the statement, insisting that it is the responsibility of the government to protect citizens rather than asking them to flee their communities.
Critics say the remark reflects growing frustration over insecurity, but also highlights the sensitivity surrounding displacement and citizens’ rights.
