Davido Announces ₦300 Million Donation to Orphanages Across Nigeria

Nigerian afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again demonstrated his philanthropic spirit by announcing a substantial donation of ₦300 million to orphanages across Nigeria.

Taking to his X handle on Tuesday, Davido revealed his commitment to supporting orphanages and shared his plans to disburse the funds, promising to provide further details the following day.

“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow,” he tweeted.

Davido, through his David Adeleke Foundation, has been actively involved in charitable initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable children in Nigeria.

This latest donation follows previous acts of generosity by the musician. In November 2021, Davido marked his 29th birthday by donating ₦250 million to 292 orphanages across the country.

Similarly, in July 2023, Davido reportedly donated ₦237 million to over 400 orphanages.
