Details of Tinubu’s Meeting with Innoson Vehicle CEO Emerges

By Yusuf Abubakar

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, has revealed the outcome of his meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the closed-door talks, Mr. Chukwuma expressed optimism about the government’s initiative to promote Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a fuel alternative for transportation, describing it as “the way forward” for Nigeria.

“I’ve discussed with him (President Tinubu), and soon the masses will have plenty of CNG buses on the road,” Mr. Chukwuma told journalists following the meeting. He highlighted the commitment to rolling out these cost-effective and environmentally friendly buses across the country.

Explaining the benefits of the Presidential CNG Initiative, Mr. Chukwuma said, “The government’s initiative on CNG is the best idea for transportation in this country because CNG offers many benefits for Nigeria. That benefit is what I recognized before I started the factory to produce vehicles that run on CNG. I began producing CNG kits before the announcement.”

The automobile entrepreneur urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the Tinubu administration, emphasizing that significant improvements in transportation are on the horizon. “Give him time,” Mr. Chukwuma implored the public, noting that the government’s efforts to enhance transportation through CNG-powered vehicles would soon bear fruit.

Mr. Chukwuma concluded by affirming that CNG technology represents a significant advancement for the nation’s transportation sector. “So today, everyone who tries CNG will find that it is the way forward for this nation,” he said.
