Drake is definitely in the midst of the long tease. For the second time in as many weeks the OVO boss has hinted that his long-rumored More Life
playlist project is imminent.

Drake performs at the O2 Arena in London on Feb. 1, 2017.

During a show in Leeds, England, on Thursday night (Dec. 9), Drizzy took out time from the latest date on his Boy Meets World Tour to give the audience an update on the mystery project.

“I’m excited because I’m about like a week and a half, two weeks away from finishing this project I’m working on called More Life,” he told the crowd at the First Direct Arena. “All that means is I get to drop a new project and at some point I get to come back and be with my people in Leeds… I go by the name of Drake and I can’t wait to see you again.”

Drake has been dropping mentions of More Life all along the road on his European tour, giving fans in Amsterdam last week a sneak peek at a bouncy new record that features such lines as “studio right in my yacht” and “I’m in the penthouse but still nothing is sweet.” More Life was originally penciled in for a December release before Drake started telling his overseas audiences that they should hear it before he returns to Europe for his next set of dates.

“I know we got three more shows in Amsterdam, but the best part of that is, if you coming back to any more shows, More Life is gonna be out and we can do some whole new s–t,” Drake told a crowd two weeks ago in Amsterdam.

Drake previously released the advance cuts “Sneakin'” featuring 21 Savage, “Two Birds, One Stone,” Dave’s “Wanna Know (Remix)”, and his newly named No. 1 song on the Rhythmic charts , “Fake Love.” In October, Drake announced that he’d be releasing More Life during an episode of OVO Sound Radio . His close collaborator and OVO signee, producer Nineteen85, also teased that More Life would be a compilation.

“More Life is interesting because this is [Drake] right on the peak of his biggest project yet [with Views ], doing his biggest tour and still having so many good ideas that he just wants to put out without making it a big ordeal,” he told Billboard . “That’s why he’s trying to call it a playlist because he has a bunch of people in a space, hanging out…. He’s so aware of what everybody else is doing musically that he likes to introduce new music and new artists to the rest of the world.”
