The Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has okayed the cancellation of Hawan Nassarawa durbar in the state.
Okay.ng reported on Wednesday that the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, cancelled the durbar event due to security reasons.
However, in statement by the acting secretary of the Kano Emirate Council, the emir accepted the order and appealed for calm.
Meanwhile, the state Emirate Council fixed a prayer session to mark the 5th year remembrance of the late emir, Ado Bayero, and 5th year anniversary of emir Sanusi on June 7th.
